Andrew and Joe had recently moved to Maine, but with many out-of-state family members attending their wedding, they wanted to share the beauty of their new home. An island wedding allowed their guests to fully experience Maine's magic. After taking scenic ferry rides to the island, Andrew and Joe's loved ones were treated to a breathtaking ceremony and reception surrounded by Maine's natural splendor. This wedding was filled with special moments from start to finish that their guests will treasure forever.
As guests began arriving on the island, Andrew & Joe spent a little time with me capturing their couples portraits.
Afterwards we grabed a quick golf cart ride to the Air BnB for family portraits and a little pre-wedding fun!
Then it was time to do the marrying! In the words of Andrew & Joe, "It was about shucking time!"
To honor Joe's late father during their unity ritual, they created a bouquet of dried flowers together and placed it on the seat that had been reserved in his memory.
As guests headed for the cocktail area, Andrew & Joe shared a quiet moment together.
The moment we've all been waiting for! Welcoming to the party, the newly married couple, Andrew and Joe!
Andrew and Joe shared a fun, dual mother-son dance, and ended by switching partners.
The signing of the marriage license making this sweet union official!
We stepped out to grab a snuggle photo at dusk before hitting the dance floor.
This group really let go on the dance floor but the band was AHHHHHMazing so it tracks.
Any guesses as to what they were dancing to when the wigs came out?
