Madison and Ben prioritised all the right things on their wedding day. They rented an incredible Air BnB overlooking the mountains in Newry, Maine and made their wedding a multi-day celebration for their family & friends.
Like many of my favourite events, everyone worked together to make their day special. Mom cooked all the food, family served the guests, made the centrepieces and helped set up and take down. These kinds of gifts of time and skill are some of my favorite memories from the wedding day. It's an outpouring of love and service for the newly married couple.
They opted for a first look so that they could get their portraits completed for the ceremony so they could celebrate properly with guests.
The grounds of the Air BnB were as spectacular as any fancy wedding venue and we made the most of it!
The wedding was held overlooking a little pond in the backyard.
The privacy in this spot was unmatched! Not a sound other than the frogs and birds could be heard.
They opted to literally tie the knot in a sweet unity ritual.
Wedding speeches had the group laughing and crying.
We opted to snap a few more photos together during golden hour because the lighting was incredible.
One of my favourite photos from the evening is this one of grandmother and mother doing clean up in the kitchen after dinner was served. It's a perfect depiction of all that love through service that you see at these intimate events.
Mom made them a sweet summer cutting cake.
And these adorable cupcakes for the guests.
The evening was rounded out with lawn games and dancing .
Twin sisters share a touching dance together.
Congratulations you two!
