Mallory & Brien met several years before their wedding day through close friends and fell head over heels for each other. They went on to have two absolutely beautiful children and their lives were full of love and laughter.
But the two wanted to make their love "official" and so together they planned an intimate wedding surrounded by their close family and friends at the Grandview Resort in Laconia New Hampshire.
Their wedding was simple yet thoughtfully planned with details that held deep meaning for the couple.
Mallory's mother made this lovely cake and added the wedding topper from her own cake. I just love the placement on a rustic tree slab.
For something borrowed Mallory's mother brought this delicate lace handkerchief which she wrapped around the stems of her bouquet and secured with a pearl pin.
Mallory & Brien's daughter looks like an angel catching a quick nap in the bridal room while her mother got ready.
Mallory is a natural beauty and her heart is just as lovely. She welcomed me to her wedding day as warmly as if I were a long time friend.
Look at baby girl's smile! But look beyond that sweet baby's face and you'll see three generations of women- I love that hidden story in this image.
The view from the porch and lawn of the Grandview Resort in Laconia is spectacular. How can you not just feel at peace looking out at those mountains and lake.
Here comes Brien, getting ready to take his place and grinning from ear to ear.
The birch arch is perfect for this natural setting.
Mallory's sister walks down the isle in a sweet blush gown.
Then their son withe the rings.
He takes his job seriously!
Mother of the bride with grand daughter take their seat.
Brien seeing his bride for the first time.
I think seeing the bride walk down the isle is tops on my list of wedding day moments. Look at the joy in her expression.
And the pride in dad's face.
The men's expressions here..oh my heart!
Looking up at his mother in awe. She looks like a princess.
Mallory took a moment during the ceremony for a snuggle with her little guy.
And he helped straighten her gown.
Their children looking on as their parents say their vows.
Congratulations Mallory & Brien!
After the ceremony while the guests mingled on the front porch with cocktails and apps, Mallory and Brien and I took portraits on the lawn.
When shooting bridal portraits I try to bring out tender moments and real laughter.
Daddy's girl!
We had our fingers crossed that we could get one shot with both kids looking....BINGO!
Mallory picked very delicate accessories to wear with her dress- a perfect pairing for a lace wedding gown.
The back of her gown.... Ow' Ow!
The lace train on her dress is head turning and really looks perfect on this front porch.
After bridal portraits the bride and groom made a toast with their family and friends before cutting into the cake!
Look who's sneaking a taste of grandma's delicious cake! Caught 'ya!
Don't you love the pink champagne! It goes perfectly with the gold silverware and accents and the blush pink . Such a dreamy wedding day color palette.
No cake smashing here, these two gave each other a sweet little bite of cake each.
After the cake cutting we e said our goodbyes and the party headed out for a evening cruise while I headed home. My entire drive home I smiled thinking about what a perfect afternoon we shared.
Mallory and Brien were perfect clients: joyful, adventurous and warm. Their wedding matched my personal approach to wedding photography which is simple, easy and heart-felt. I really couldn't wait to edit these images and share them because they feel so intimate.
I love my work as a wedding photographer in New Hampshire and Maine. Sharing in a couple's special day and then delivering them memories to last a lifetime... it just fills my soul!
Thank you so much Mallory and Brien for welcoming me so kindly into your celebration. It was such a wonderful afternoon and it was an honor to be part of it.
