I sometimes can't believe that it's been nearly 4 years since I last felt those little butterfly flutters in my stomach and the dizzying flips and turns of my son still in the womb. The memory of carrying my eldest feels even more distant. I do recall the overwhelming joy and excitement of waiting for my children to arrive. I wish that I had captured more photos from those days beyond the monthly tummy selfies because suddenly I have a little girl who's about to finish kindergarten, and a little boy who asks me to pick up him up less and less. Those 9 months of carrying my babies were so special even if they did come with swollen feet, tender muscles and some of the other "pleasures' of pregnancy.
I can't help but smile when I hear from a client inquiring about a maternity session. I know I say all of my sessions are my favorite, that that's kind of true, but maternity photos are some of my favorite images to capture.
Kait and Todd visit their parents on Wells Beach and became engaged in this spot so it seems only natural that they book their photo session here as well .
I really wanted to capture some intimate moments between the couple as all too soon they'll be busy with feeding and caring for their little one. I also wanted their images to feel like that wonderful overflowing love that new parents have.
Kait looks absolutely gorgeous.
I only get to spend about an hour with my clients but with some you can very quickly get a sense of their personality. Kait and Todd are so kind natured. You can feel how ready they are to love this new little baby.
If you're interested in booking a maternity portrait session with a Wells Maine photographer, please reach out to me. I'd love to hear more about what you're looking for and help tell your baby story.
